    gotCITED ("gotCITED," "AI Patrol," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the AI Patrol platform and related services (the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.

    2. Information We Collect

    Account Information

    When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.

    Brand & Business Data

    We collect information you provide about your business: business name, website URL, address, category, description, competitor names, tracking prompts, and locations. This data is used solely to operate the tracking and reporting features.

    Usage Data

    We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, report runs initiated, and timestamps of activity.

    Payment Information

    Payment processing is handled by third-party processors. We do not store full credit card numbers or sensitive payment data on our servers.

    3. How We Use Your Information

    • To provide, operate, and improve the Service
    • To run AI visibility analyses against your brand using your tracking prompts
    • To send weekly Citation Report emails (when enabled)
    • To respond to support inquiries and feedback
    • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
    • To comply with legal obligations
    • To communicate product updates, feature announcements, and promotional offers (you may opt out at any time)

    4. Third-Party AI Services

    Important Disclosure: To provide AI visibility tracking, the Service sends your tracking prompts (questions) to third-party AI platforms including but not limited to OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), Perplexity AI, and other language model providers through Agent.ai. By using the Service, you acknowledge and consent to your prompts being transmitted to these third-party services for the purpose of generating AI responses that are then analyzed for brand mentions. We do not transmit personally identifiable information within the prompts unless you explicitly include such information in your tracking questions.

    5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

    We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

    • Service Providers: Trusted third parties who help us operate the Service (cloud infrastructure, email delivery, analytics), bound by confidentiality agreements
    • AI Providers: As described in Section 4
    • Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority
    • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

    6. Data Retention

    We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. Report execution data (prompt results, mention rates, sentiment) is retained for up to 24 months to support historical trend analysis. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.

    7. Security

    We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, row-level access controls, and regular security reviews. API keys and sensitive credentials are stored encrypted. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

    We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and remember your preferences. We may use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, if configured) to understand aggregate usage patterns. These tools may set their own cookies.
